Podcast Episode #65. Haute or Not? Collagen Supplements.

September 28, 2020

On today’s episode of the Plantbased, Not Perfect Podcast we are chatting about trendy collagen supplements and whether ingesting collagen products can actually create collagen within our bodies. I explain what collagen is, why you need to be wary of it in unregulated supplements and which labels you want to look out for, as well as if there is any science to support that ingesting collagen can build collagen. I explain how all of the components of collagen can be found in whole plant foods: beans and legumes, nuts and seeds, fruits and vegetables, and whole grains, and share the main plantbased foods to focus on.
