Work From Home Weekday Routine.

August 21, 2020

I was asked on Instagram what my current work from home routine is with times, etc. so I thought it would be fun to break it all down for you because I love learning other people’s routines. I have been working from home for almost six months now and would be totally lost without a routine.

7:30am – Wake up, wash face with just water (not a cleanser), brush teeth (Burt’s Bees toothpaste), make matcha (Laird’s Superfood Matcha is my current fave) with @elmhurst cashew milk . Let out my dog Lady, she likes to sleep in sometimes past 9 even so it depends on her schedule lol.

Ice Roll my face to depuff my eyes a little and tighten & put on Vitamin C, which I keep in my fridge so it doesn’t oxidize (trying out the OleHenrickson one right now). Once that has dried a bit I add EltaMD sunscreen on top down to my boobs, so I’m protected for the day as you know I like to be outside as much as I can for that Vitamin D.

Lately I have been taking some NED CBD hormone balance oil in the morning to help during the work day. My job is very much about being responsive and I found that situations were making me feel reactive so the CBD has been helping me have a more mindful and calm approach for certain work situations. Use code “Plantbased” for a deal on NED CBD if you’re interested.

8am – Meditate to @mimimethod or @melissawoodhealth then afterwards I journal free flow whatever comes to my mind that I need to do that day or my intentions. I have found that the meditation, journaling and CBD have really helped to put me in a great mindset before signing onto email and working.

8:30 – 9:30am: Sign on for work and check morning emails.

10am – Workout of choice: I alternate during the week between low impact workouts like Melissa Wood Health and higher intensity workouts like Caroline Deisler on IGLive or Kelly Gale on Youtube, just depending how I feel that week. I try to listen to my body and if I’m not feeling HIIT I only do low impact workouts. I always have a large Yeti of water with lemon that I drink during the workout.

10:30/11am – Make my Lean Green Smoothie from my ebook. I have this EVERY DAY without fail during the week and the weekend, it sets me up for success the rest of the day and you get all of your minerals, vitamins and enzymes needed for your body and for your skin to glow.

12:30 or 1pm: Dependent how busy I am with work, my lunch break varies but I try to take it outside as much as possible while also catching some sun while either reading or listening to a podcast. Just finished the book “Stop Aging Now” by Jean Carper which was written in 1995 but is still so relevant for today.

I’ll maybe make another matcha around 3pm if I’m feeling a little pick me up. I don’t snack very often because I try to make my lunch very filling, but if I’m hungry in the afternoon I like veggies with hummus, a GoMacro bar (use code hautehealthy25 for 25% OFF), date bites from my ebook or fresh fruit.

Most of the afternoon is spent on work calls and emails until 5:30 and then I sign off for the night! We use Slack to chat within office so I sign off that and close my work email. I am very strict on my work boundaries so I shut down my work computer at the end of the day and then only use my personal laptop later if needing to.

5:30 / 6pm: If I had a really busy work day and didn’t get my workout in then I will do one after the workday. Melissa Wood workouts are amazing if you had a super stressful day.

Afterwards I heat up my sauna (this is the one I purchased and LOVE – I got from JNH Lifestyles) then I sweat it out for at least 20 – 30 mins while I gua sha and listen to a podcast (the sauna has a Bluetooth connection).

7pm: I shower afterwards and then put on retinol (obsessed with this one – it honestly works and is only $20 ) and moisturizer (testing out a few). I don’t tan my face, so once everything has dried I like to add a little bit of tanner on to match my body (I love this clean non toxic brand Vita Liberata).

8pm+: Depending on what we’re having for dinner and whether my husband is working I might have started dinner before I got in the sauna or he makes it while I am in the sauna. We try to eat earlier on the days he is home, but on nights he works we typically eat around 8pm. Then we spend time together for the rest of the night, we might have some tea and just relax.

That is my current work from home routine, let me know if this helped to motivate you or inspire you in any way. I find that keeping to a routine gives a feeling or normalcy in this crazy time and helps me stick to my health and wellness goals. xx
